An inspiring series of stories and short biographies of female companions who paved the way for how Muslim women should aspire to lead, learn, and have a place at the table. This series is for young Muslim girls aspiring for characters to further research, learn from, and...follow in their footsteps.
In Her Footsteps Season II is a continuation of In Her Footsteps Season I, which covered leading female scholars, scientists, health professionals, and artists from the Islamic Golden Age. In Her Footsteps Season II is an intensive 8-week course with 8 sessions. This course includes a list of female companions at the forefront of philanthropy, jurisprudence, medicine, combat, and community development.
Course Information:
- For girls ages 8-12 years old
- 8-session course, weekly
- Thursday, Aug 11th - Thursday, Sept 29th
- 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM CST

- Day 3: Asma’ Bint ‘Umays (Assertiveness) + Umm Salama (Wisdom & Inquiry)

- Day 5: Khadīja Bint Khuwaylid (ra)
- Day 6: Rufaida Al-Aslamia (Medicine) + Al-Shifa' bint Abdullah (Minister of Finance)
- Day 7: Fatimah Bint Muhammad (ra)
- Day 8: Hind bint Utbah (mistakes don't define us) + Khansa bint Amr (Poetry and Art)
